In our church we have discussed Ephesians 4:11-12 very often, in case you don't remember it, here it is:
Ephesians 4:11-12 (NIV)
11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
We all know that it is the pastor's job to equip the saints for the works of service. That is good I am glad we are getting that. But do you know that you may have a calling on your life to be one of the equippers as well. In fact I would contend that all of you are called to be equippers. It is not just the "Pastor" or "Elders" that can fulfill these five "Leader" positions in the church.
Has God Called you? Are you an Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor or Teacher. Are you living out that calling?
